Today I attended the Adobe on AIR Bus Tour conference at the State Theater in Virginia. Overall, the conference was pretty good. Not only did I learn a lot about AIR, I also got to see some nice applications built using this new technology.
All of the speakers were really interesting and did a great job of getting me excited to develop with AIR. I’m really stoked to fool around with the embedded SQLite database that AIR provides and even more excited for the next beta. Some of these guys really got me thinking. Thanks! - since I’ll probably be up all-night thinking about developing an app.
This 18 stop tour is a great way to build hype for the product. I’m sure we will see other companies following suit and offering these types of free events in the future. Not only were the speakers great, but so was the food!
Conference Highlight: Mike Chambers requesting that an XBox 360 get hooked up to the extremely large presentation screen during a beer break. It was fun watching the staff at the State Theater scramble to get the console hooked up for a bunch of geeks. Thanks Guys!

I am sorry I missed the conference — I was afraid it would all be to far over my head; but from what I am hearing, it sounds like a great time.
