If you’re like me and have a hard time adapting to change, then here are a few things you can do to get your old iGoogle back. In my opinion, it was a pretty jolting layout change and one that could have used better transitioning. Facebook’s transition from their old layout to new is a great example of how to design with users in mind. Give us an option Google!
Three ways to get old iGoogle back
If you have the Stylish Firefox Extension installed you can restore the clean looking tabs, replace the side menu, restore the gadget title styling and remove the rounded corners. Stylish - Revert to iGoogle ‘Classic’
You can use a JavaScript hack. Type javascript:_dlsetp(’v2=0′); into the address bar (not the search bar) of your browser while iGoogle is open and then hit go. This should refresh your page with the old iGoogle. Source
If you don’t want to bother installing extensions or JavaScript hacks you can always use a different language. Go here: http://www.google.com/ig/settings and pick your favorite language.

Update: The JavaScript hack is not working anymore, also be careful when changing your language… it can be a tricky getting iGoogle back to a understandable language.

I read about a site on John Chow today called http://www.43marks.com - its like iGoogle but better cuz you can add you own bookmarks and the bookmarks can be websites not just gadgets and RSS feeds although you can upload your favorite RSS feeds too. Its free and totally customizable. Plus you don’t have to login to see your bookmars and RSS feeds

I prefer toadtastic.com. It looks like Google but you get a random funny pic every time you refresh the page. It’s great.
