I recently registered for the AIR conference in Washington, DC and I’m really stoked to hear Christian Cantrell, Mike Chambers, and Kevin Hoyt talk about the highly anticipated release of Adobe Integrated Runtime (AIR) and its capabilities. It’s perfect timing for Adobe to launch this campaign, considering the hyped launch of Pownce, which has a really nice AIR application download.
A few days ago I downloaded the AIR SDK and have been working on my first application (nothing sexy). I was really amazed at how easy it was to get it up and running. I also really like the Dreamweaver CS3 AIR extention for packaging the .air application. I love Apple! I work on a G4 at home, upgraded my 17inch Apple monitor to a slightly bigger one last year, have an iPod Nano, on the Mac email list at work, and recently added a black 13inch Macbook to my arsenal. So I guess I should go out and get the new Apple iPhone, right? Since I’m an Apple guy. Well, I’m not one to jump on new technology bandwagons, especially when it comes to phones, mp3 players and other trendy gadgets. In fact, I just got my iPod Nano last September and some of my friends are on their third and forth iPods.
